Arrival & Brooding
Day-old chicks arrive from our hatchery or a trusted supplier. They go straight into the brooder — a warm, clean pen heated to 35°C. This first week is the most critical for survival.
Starter Phase
Chicks stay in the brooder eating high-protein starter crumbles (20–22% protein). Temperature is reduced gradually by 2–3°C each week as they develop their own heat regulation.
Grower Phase
Moved to the larger growing pen. Feed switches to grower pellets. Birds develop rapidly, gaining 50–100 g per day. Space per bird is expanded to prevent stress.
Ready for Collection
Broilers hit market weight of 2.0–2.5 kg. We contact buyers to arrange collection from Makina or delivery to your location within Nairobi.

Biosecurity is what separates a reliable farm from one that surprises you with sick birds. Here is what we do.
Biosecurity Protocols
Visitors wear boot covers before entering any pen. Hands washed and disinfected at every checkpoint. No outside birds ever brought into contact with our flock.
Water & Feed Safety
Drinkers cleaned and refilled twice daily. Feed stored in sealed bins, checked for mould. Water nipples are chlorinated weekly.
Ventilation & Space
Pens are designed for natural ventilation. Bird density is kept below recommended maximums. Bedding is turned daily and fully replaced between batches.

The farm is in Makina village within Kibera, Nairobi. When you book, we send you our precise location pin on WhatsApp. Collection is usually same-day or next morning.
